Install Brave Browser in Fedora 38
Today I decided to try this new browser.
According to their website the following instructions should work.
sudo dnf install dnf-plugins-core
sudo dnf config-manager --add-repo https://brave-browser-rpm-release.s3.brave.com/brave-browser.repo
sudo rpm --import https://brave-browser-rpm-release.s3.brave.com/brave-core.asc
sudo dnf install brave-browser
However, in practice things are different, here's what I get.
[terminator@skynet ~]$ sudo dnf install brave-browser
Brave Browser 40 kB/s | 7.3 kB 00:00
Dependencies resolved.

You can remove cached packages by executing 'dnf clean packages'.

So fuck this shit!
I then try to just type brave-browser
in the terminal so that Fedora searches for the command and asks me if I want to install it and I get this:
[terminator@skynet ~]$ brave-browser
bash: brave-browser: command not found...

Well, double fuck this shit again!
I searched the Internet and I found here a that this command would fix the problem: sudo dnf upgrade --refresh --advisory=FEDORA-2023-bd9a4614ad
. I then ran sudo dnf install brave-browser
again and fuck this shit again!
Little more research led me to this link which reveals that the problem is recent. As of today (May 17th, 2023) the solution has not appeared anywhere that I am aware of.
So today (May 18th, 2023) checked again this page and somebody said that it was fixed.
I tried again sudo dnf install brave-browser
and it worked this time:
[terminator@skynet ~]$ sudo dnf install brave-browser

So in the end, the instructions provided should work just fine. This was a specific coincidence in time.
